Tour de Tuscon
by Claudia Ribet

The Tour de Tucson is a beautiful century if one likes the desert, but at least when I last did the ride (two years ago), there were two dry river crossings over sand, requiring one to carry one’s bike the distance of about 1/4 mile, along with hoards of other riders. These photos depict this joyful experience – one I do not care to experience again. However, the Tour de Tucson is a well-supported, well-organized century (which even provides timing chips, so one can get a close to accurate finish time).
